Auburndale Cove is one of our favorite playgrounds.  It’s a very peaceful park on the Charles River in Newton.  There are ducks, geese and swans for kids to feed, and playground equipment for tots and kids.  There is also a picnic area and restrooms.  The best part of the park is the swings which face the river and make you feel like you are flying over it.  It’s also very shaded and good for those hot summer days.
