Many of you have taken harbor cruises, in Boston, New York, Baltimore and many other cities. However, a hidden gem is the Charles River Cruise which is very similar to the harbor cruises you are used to, but it sails down the Charles River. The boat leaves from the Cambridgeside Galleria, which is a terrific place to hang out and which has a wonderful food court. Convenient parking is available at the Galleria for a reasonable fee. The river tour is an hour long, and the guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. They also offer evening and sunset cruises. This is an enjoyable way to spend a few hours, and it makes you feel as if you are on vacation for the day. Snack bar and bathrooms are on board.
