If you haven’t taken the family to Boston’s Museum of Science lately, go on over and see their Butterfly Garden. The butterflies are kept in a climate-controlled room overlooking the Charles River, and they are beautiful to behold. You can enter the room for about a ten minute stretch and observe the butterflies flying all around the room and hiding in the tropical plants. If you’re very still, one might land on you! My daughter was thrilled that one landed on her hand. There are also great displays about butterflies and moths and their cycle of life.
