
Don't throw away your old socks!
Well maybe the ones with big holes...
Socks - especially tube socks - make GREAT dusting rags. AND, you can just slip your hand into the sock to dust your things.
What I really like about this is that I can get into smaller niches. I can also easily dust small knick-knacks because I can hold them in my hand and dust at the same time.
The other thing I like about this is: We buy new socks at least twice a year. That means if I want to, I can toss the used dusting sock out instead of washing it.
Other possibilities: Use old socks as painting rags. Use old socks to store plastic grocery bags (see my other tip about using kleenex boxes to store plastic grocery bags). Stuff old socks into shoes and boots so they keep their shape...
