Are you having a hard time getting your child to do his/her chores at home, potty training or even remembering all the steps that he/she has to do to get ready for school, bedtime routine etc? Create your own chart is a great motivater - I used a princess picture on mine when my daughter would always forget her bedtime routine and she loved going to her own chart to check off every step that was done. You can create your own catagories and everything - worked like a charm, especially if you let your child choose his/her own theme.
By Melissa H. posted Apr 15, 2008 I'm trying this out right now and it doesn't seem to be working for me. I made the chart had their favorite colors on it got stickers (I have 2 boys) and put it on their door, it doesn't seem to motivate them even when I ask about it. What am I doing wrong?
