I have used SurveyMonkey.com at work, but my husband had the great idea that it could be used personally as well. SurveyMonkey lets you design surveys with many different types of questions and then either email or publish the link to your survey. You can make as many surveys as you want for free, as long as they are 10 questions or less. Then, you can easily collect the results. For multiple choice questions and many other types, the answers are automatically sorted, graphed and calculated. You can use this when planning a family reunion or large family or friends event. Instead of hundreds of emails swirling around, you post a survey asking about all the details of the event, what is desired and who will be in charge of it. Then, you collect the data, and make your event happen!  I just made a survey for my immediate family regarding our next vacation. It was fun, easy, and each person knew no one else (except me) would see or hear their answers.
